Rainy Day

Sophie worked on her art project for the AVA's Art-O-Rama show for children, using pastels. She also played outside, in the rain, today.
I finished the book, "Tested" and am now reading "The Geography of Bliss," by Eric Weiner. He uses a quote from Henry Miller, that I love, "One's destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things."

Good for Sophie for doing the art contest!! And I love your new doorknob. I know it seems like a little thing, but it's not. If you put off doing stuff like that, you will just get used to seeing it, and never make the change. Come on over and check out all the hideous brass fixtures in our house that we've been looking at for 6 years now. Ugh. I love little changes like a new picture or rug. I would also like all new kitchen cabinets. :)
